Barre Fitness Certification


I led my first two MUV Barre class today! I am so excited to be certified in Barre Fitness.

What is Barre?

Barre is a low-impact exercise format that combines elements of ballet, strength training, yoga and Pilates. Barre prioritizes isometric movements. Isometric movements are muscle contractions in which the muscle does not noticeably change length and the affected joint does not move. In a Barre class, these movements include holding a posture, pulsing or other small movements like mirco circles.

What are the benefits of Barre?
